Developmental Evaluations
Developmental concerns can affect many areas of a child's growth, learning, communication, behavior, and daily functioning. As a Developmental-Behavioral Pediatric practice, we provide comprehensive medical and developmental evaluations to understand your child's strengths, identify underlying developmental or behavioral conditions, and develop a personalized plan to help your child thrive at home, in school, and in the community.
Evaluations may include a detailed developmental and medical history, review of medical, school, and therapy records, caregiver interview, developmental and behavioral questionnaires, direct clinical observation, and targeted developmental assessments, as appropriate. When indicated, we also recommend additional evaluations by psychology, speech-language pathology, occupational therapy, physical therapy, or other specialists to ensure a complete understanding of your child's needs.
Following the evaluation, families receive an individualized care plan that may include recommendations for medical management, therapies, educational supports, behavioral interventions, and community resources.
Developmental evaluations may be appropriate for concerns related to:
-
Developmental delays
-
Speech and language delays
-
Motor delays and coordination difficulties

Autism Evaluations
The evaluation process includes gathering information from parents and caregivers, reviewing relevant records, observing the child, and utilizing developmental and behavioral assessment tools as appropriate. The goal is to determine whether autism spectrum disorder or another developmental condition may explain a child’s strengths and challenges.
Following the evaluation, families receive individualized recommendations regarding therapies, educational supports, community resources, and next steps. We also provide ongoing care for children and adolescents with an established diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder.
